Art Workshop 2: ‘Korail e Akibuki’

On 28 February, Chayar Asroy conducted an interactive creative workshop with approximately 35 children aged 5–14 years from the Korail slum at Shahid Rumi Smriti Library. The workshop was designed to provide children with a joyful learning experience through art, crafts, and music while encouraging creativity, imagination, and self-expression.

The event was divided into two engaging sessions. During the first session, volunteers provided each child with paper, crayons, pencils, and erasers. Children learned to draw different animals using simple shapes and were encouraged to colour their artwork freely. They also participated in paper craft activities, transforming simple sheets of paper into creative handmade crafts.

In the second session of the workshop, our volunteers conducted an interactive musical session where the children sang together while enjoying different musical instruments. The programme concluded with the distribution of snacks, allowing the children to end the day with smiles and joyful memories.

The workshop was organized with the aim to provide underprivileged children with a safe and engaging space where they could freely express their creativity through art, crafts, and music. It aimed to nurture their imagination, improve their artistic and creative skills, and build confidence through interactive learning. Beyond developing new skills, the session sought to bring happiness into the children's lives and encourage them to express their thoughts, emotions, and stories through creative activities
